Kavitha’s lawyer Vikram Chaudhary said that as the ED has already arrested in the same case, the petition is being withdrawn as there is no need for investigation. A bench comprising Justice Bela Trivedi and Justice Pankaj Mittal allowed the withdrawal of the petition.
Chaudhary said that further action will be taken to get relief as per law. On March 14 last year, MLC Kavitha filed a petition against the summons issued by the ED in the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, the hearing in the Supreme Court was supposed to start on the petition filed saying that Kavitha’s arrest was illegal.
