KCR announces war against the Centre
Hyderabad, Nov.18 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao Wednesday today declared a war against the centre to procure paddy grains from the state. KCR asked the Centre a direct question whether they will buy paddy or not.
He gave an ultimatum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give his government stance on the state demand to procure paddy in two days. Beginning the three hours of Maha Dharna by the TRS ministers, MPs, MLAs and other TRS leaders at Dharna Park here, the Chief Minister declared a war against the Centre to protect the interests of the farmers and people.
The BJP if has guts should make it clear to whether buy the stocks from godowns or bow down to people and apologise, he said. Hitting out at the skirmishes by the BJP he asked whether the farmers make a better living or hang to the trees.
I appeal to Modi with folded hands whether you take Yasangi paddy and procure left behind stocks. We are not fighting for the CM or other posts it is just a beginning and not an end he reiterated. We are producing about 1.50 cr mt paddy in about 70 lakh acres and the centre is to procure as per the constitution, he said.
The Modi Government has no policies to address the issues, he alleged. The CM expressed serious displeasure that there was no response from the Centre on SC categorization, ST reservations and BC census, ITIR, Navodaya schools in districts and others. To protect our interests of farmers we will fight with the Centre and ensure that all other states come to know of its failure. We are asking only to buy paddy grains from the state if not tell your stance, KCR reiterated.
If the Centre is not ready to buy our paddy we take our own steps to help the farmers and are not ready to give up the fight, he reiterated. The CM expressed serious displeasure that the Centre was adopting double standards and appealed to take steps to clear rice stocks from the state. He slammed the BJP spreading misinformation campaign and threatened. KCR ridiculed the BJP for false charges stating that he will not fear anyone or cases as he achieved statehood.
He claimed that only Telangana in the country offers Rs 10000 per acre to farmers and 24 hour free power to the farm sector as lakas are revived to boost cultivation. (Maxim News)
