Hyderabad, Feb 26 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has accused that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of cheating the unemployed youth in the State. After 33 months in month, KCR has run out of excuses for not fulfilling the election promises of providing lakhs of government jobs to unemployed youth.
Addressing a massive public meeting “Jana Avedana Sabha” in Shadnagar on Sunday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that KCR appears mentally disturbed due to the rising discontent among people against the TRS Government over non-fulfillment of election promises. Having realised that he could not cheat or mislead common people any more, the Chief Minister has now turned towards God seeking refuge. “The arrogance of power had led KCR to even forget God. For the same reason, he did not remember the vows that he made with God for almost 33 months. But the recent agitation organised by the Congress party and the support it got from people refreshed KCR’s memory and he started recalling the vows, one after the other. However, KCR is making a mistake of misusing public money to fulfill his personal vows,” he said.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said when KCR could keep the vows that he made with god unfulfilled for over 33 months, people could imagine the fate of promises that he made with them. Accusing KCR of not providing jobs to the unemployed youth, he asked the Chief Minister to himself clarify whether or not, during the election campaign, he promised one job for each household in the State. He said when previous Congress regime wanted to fill nearly one lakh vacancies, TRS stalled the process and said jobs should be given only after formation of Telangna. Today, KCR is shamelessly blaming the Congress party, he said.
He also slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not fulfilling the promise of providing 2 crore jobs. He said that the wrong policies of Modi Government have derailed the country’s economic growth and demonitisation has crippled all the sectors, especially agriculture and industries.
The TPCC Chief pointed out that the TRS Government did not fulfill a single poll promise. “KCR only delivered long speeches and tried to cover up his failures with story-telling tactics. Having exhausted his entire vocabulary, now he has started using abusive and derogatory language against the Congress leaders,” he said adding that the TRS Government must realise that it has completed nearly three years in power and it could no more indulge in blame game against the Congress party.
Uttam Kumar Reddy also condemned KCR for making personal remarks against the Congress leaders. He pointed out that the PCC was led by Dharampuri Srinivas when Congress ruled the then united Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2014. KCR not only lured same D. Srinivas into the party, but made him his government’s advisor and later elevated him as the Rajya Sabha member. If Congress leaders were inefficient, then why did KCR lure seven MLAs, several MLCs and other leaders into his party. “TRS has no distinct identity of its own. It is no more than a refugee camp which provided shelter to power-hungry and cash-hungry politicians. Nearly two-third members of KCR cabinet were either with Congress or TDP in the past. Even KCR was part of Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre for over two years since 2004 elections,” he said.
The Congress leader said that the Telangana has been turned into a debt-ridden State by the TRS Government. Despite borrowing thousands of crores from different institutions during last two-and-a-half years, all the deserved segments like students and farmers did not get the required assistances. He condemned the TRS Government for its failure to clear dues of Fee Reimbursement and Crop Loan Waiver scheme.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Chief Minister would not get solace by making donations to temples using public money. Instead, he advised the Chief Minister to use his personal funds to fulfill his personal vows to god. Tax payers’ money should be judiciously used to implement welfare schemes for the entire society.
The meeting was also addressed by former union minister S. Jaipal Reddy, MLA D.K. Aruna, MLC K. Damodar Reddy and other senior leaders. (Maxim News)
