Hyderabad, March.5 (Maxim News): Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy asked new governing body of TESCOB to serve farmers as per ideas of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
The minister greeted the new chairman K Ravinder Rao and vice-chairperson G Mahender Reddy on their unanimous election. The farmers and people wholeheartedly supported the ruling party in cooperative polls, the minister pointed out. He also said the State government has been spending Rs 60,000 crore on irrigation projects, Rythu bandhu and others for welfare of farmers.
Niranjan Reddy said the Telangana State caught attention of the entire country for its agriculture and reforms being implemented to boost farmers’ income, he said. “No other States like Uttar Pradesh are spending funds like Telangana State for welfare of farmers, he said, adding that Rythu coordination panel will be renamed as Rythu Bandhu Samithi, which will strive to strengthen the farming community in the State, he added.
