KCR govt immersed State into huge debt trap: Uttam
Hyderabad, June 2 (Maxim News): TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Sunday hoisted national flag at Gandhi Bhavan in the presence of party leaders and former ministers K. Jana Reddy, Shabbir Ali, Ponnala Laxmaiah, MLC T. Jeevan Reddy, MLA T. Jagga Reddy and party leaders like Marri Shashidhar Reddy, Anjan Kumar Yadav, V Hanumantha Rao, Kusuma Kumar and others in connection with Telangana State formation day celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Uttam Kumar Reddy said separate Telangana State had become a reality due to the determination of Sonia Gandhi and also due to fight of Congress MPs in Parliament. He alleged the total debt of the State that stood at Rs 69,000 crore at the time of the formation of the State, has now gone up to Rs.2.6 lakh crore during the five years of KCR rule but there was no proportionate development. He demanded that the State government complete the 4000 MW of ongoing NTPC power Project. Targeting Union Government, Uttam alleged that the Centre had failed in the fulfillment of the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act. He said over 12 lakh unemployed had registered with TSPSC.
The TPCC chief complained that the State government had not prepared guidelines for provision of unemployed allowance to the jobless youth. He also demanded that the State government waive off the loans availed by the farmers simultaneously. He also called upon the party MLAs to condemn the inducements to party MLAs by the ruling party.
