Hyderabad, Aug.27 (Maxim News): To fulfill the dream of poor people the KCR Government is providing two bedroom housing facility in Telangana, Municipal and Industries minister KT Rama Rao today said.
By December the government will offer as many as 85000 housing units of 2 BHK to the beneficiaries by December, he stated.
The IT Minister held a long meeting on 2 BHK facility for the poor and instructed the officials to finalise beneficiaries. He claimed that unlike in any other city in the country, we have taken up this facility in Hyderabad in a big way. The minister stated that they have taken up this scheme by spending Rs 9700 cr to offer 85000 houses for the poor . We are getting ready for offering them by December the municipal minister said.
About 1 lakh houses were started – 4000 units each in 24 segments in the city KTR said. Guidelines will be released in a few days on distribution and finalising the beneficiaries he added. The poor can now make a better living with self respect through the housing facility in Telangana he said.
He said that the scheme is the idea of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who launched 2 BHK program to fulfill the dreams of the poor people in the state. As per KCR directions the officials have involved in completing the 2 BHK scheme the minister said.
He informed that the houses are getting ready with all facilities and to be handed over to the poor as planned. We have asked the officials for speedy completion of the housing program. Most of the houses are nearing completion and will be offered by the Government he said.
He directed the officials to complete the process of all housing units with facilities like water, power, drainage, roads and others. (Maxim News)
