KCR Insulted Constitution By Restricting Republic Day Celebrations: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad, Jan 26 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MP, Revanth Reddy said that Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has insulted the Constitution written by Dr. B.R Ambedkar by restricting Republic Day celebrations to Raj Bhavan and Pragati Bhavan. He said if there is a difference between the Governor and the Chief Minister, it should be presented on another platform.
It is not good to make the Republic Day celebration a platform for differences between the two. KCR should change its business style. He demanded the KCR should apologize to Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundara Rajan. He questioned whether the Court has to intervene in holding Republic Day Celebration, this has been included in the history of Independent India, he pointed out.
Participating in the Republic Day celebrations by unveiling the National Flag at Gandhi Bhavan, today, Revanth Reddy said that if MLAs defect from the party, there is a need to cancel their membership and hang them if necessary. The punishment should be on par with the sections of murders which should be applied to party defectors. There is a need to take a tough decision on party defections. Intellectuals should think about bringing an amendment to the Constitution on this issue.
Revanth Reddy said that senior All India Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will unfurl the National flag in Kashmir and declare the country’s sovereignty. On that day worship should be done in the prayer halls of all religions. Hath-se-Hath jodo Yatra officially started today, it will continue for 60 days from February 6 covering as many constituencies as possible.
People of Telangana should bless the Congress party and take it forward. There is a conspiracy to take reservations away from the poor. It is our responsibility to reverse this conspiracy. They (BJP) overthrew nine governments and made a mockery of the constitution said Revanth Reddy. (Munsif News)
