Hyderabad, June 17 (Maxim News): Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and AP Counterpart Jagan Reddy attended the ritual of Sharada Peetham in Guntur. Peetham seer Swarupananda Swamy anointed Kiran Kumar Sharma (26) as his successor to head the peetham on the last day of three day event at Ganapathi Sachchidananda Ashram on the banks of River Krishna. With this young seer gets into Sanyasrama deeksha and will follow the tradition of the Vishakha Sharada Peetham.
Both the chief ministers have participated in the event of coronation to Kiran Kumar Sharma with a crown to mark the occasion. They also offered silk clothes, fruit and flowers as Swarupananda renamed Kiran as Swathmanandendra Saraswathi. The head pontiff informed that Sharma his disciple will be offered full-fledged powers of the peetham in 2024.
Seers from several Peethams, devotional personalities, political leaders and others attended the event. Edowment minister V Srinivas offered prasadams from main temples to Swarupananda as young seer offered him flowers. Swamy said that both the chief ministers like the young seer who will get full charge of the peetham in 2024.
