Hyderabad, April 20 (Maxim News): BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) paid rich tributes to philosopher, poet and social reformer Basaveswara on his birth anniversary on Monday. In a statement, Chandrashekhar Rao called Basaveswara a visionary reformer who fought against caste and social discrimination, promoting equality and dignity of labour. He said Basaveswara’s teachings remained relevant even today.
The former Chief Minister stated that several welfare initiatives implemented during the BRS rule in Telangana were inspired by such ideals and had helped improve the lives of Dalit and Bahujan communities. “Striving for the welfare of all sections of society is the true tribute we can offer him,” he said.
He urged people to follow Basaveswara’s principles and work towards building an inclusive society based on equality, justice, and human values. (Maxim News)
