Hyderabad, June 9 (Maxim News): Senior Congress leader Addanki Dayakar on Sunday said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was scared of facing CLP leader in the State Assembly and resorted to merger of the CLP into his party to deny the CLP post to a Dalit leader in the State.
Addressing the gathering at Satyagraha site launched by the CLP leader on its second day, Dayakar made it clear that the defected MLAs of the party had joined the TRS separately and not simultaneously as claimed by the Speaker of the House. He said the Speaker did not have courage to act against the ruling party and its CM and added that the Speaker had not given time to the CLP leader as he was scared of doing so.
He said the deeksha was launched for the people of the state and not for the Congress party. He wondered if the State and the country had any Governor and President of India. Dayakar warned CM KCR that the Congress would ensure the fall of the TRS government in the State. He also alleged that the TRS leaders were buying the Opposition party MLAs as they did not have leaders at ground level.
AICC Secretary Ch. Vamshichand Reddy said the deeksha by Bhatti was meant to protect democracy in the State. He also said the people in the entire Telangana State were extending total support to the deeksha. Referring to the dharna chowk, he said those who protested at dharna chowk won their battle at the end while noting that the Congress party would protect the democracy in the State. He dared all the 12 defected party MLAs to contest elections again after resigning from their posts. (Maxim News)
