KCR vows to implement Dalit Bandhu until his last breaths
Hyderabad, Aug.27 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today stated that he will work for empowerment of Dalit as he tried to sacrifice life for Telangana statehood. ‘I will strive hard with people’s cooperation and until he breathes my last for empowering Dalits, the Chief Minister said. He appealed to the people to support him to empower Dalits who were neglected by successive governments for seven decades.
Addressing a program after a review at Karim Nagar collector office with Ministers T Harish Rao, Kamalakar and Koppula Eshwar, the chief minister reiterated to empower Dalits. Until my last drop of blood, I will strive for Dalits emancipation, KCR stated.
The state government released Rs 2000 crore for Huzurabad segment to implement Dalit Bandhu as a pilot project.
The Chief Minister earlier asked the ministers and the collector to ensure that Dalit Bandhu be implemented at Huzurabad segment as said. We have promised to develop it by supporting Rs 10 lakh to each Dalit family he said.
Our government will allot funds in the budget and ensure that the Dalits develop socially and economically in near future, he said.
Ahead of Huzurabad bypolls the chief minister had made this promise to launch the scheme for Dalits. KCR had launched the scheme at Huzurabad recently after starting in Vasalamarri village in Yadadri district.
The Chief Minister claimed that the government released Rs 2000 crore for Huzurabad segment to implement Dalit Bandhu. He announced to spend Rs 1 lakh cr for the purpose. KCR attributed the pathetic conditions of the Dalit community to the failure of successive governments for about seven decades. The past governments never planned to help the SCs who have been lagging behind in all sectors. We are now committed to develop them and Telangana to be a role model in Dalit emancipation, KCR averred.
Without policies Telangana transformed to be a food bowl of the country with 3 crore tons of food grains production and ended the hunger deaths. We implement schemes for the poor, SC, ST, Minority, MBC and others need help by spending crores of funds, he claimed.
We have developed agriculture and increased crops production significantly, he said. The chief minister said that completion of the irrigation projects helped farm production rise. Several schemes are known for helping the poor and farmers, he said. Besides giving 24 hour power to the farm sector we offer Rs 10000 an acre to the farmers and waiving off Rs 1 lakh crop loans, he said.
