Hyderabad, March 24 (Maxim News): Nizamabad MP K Kavitha today said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will muster support of 116 MPs if he was given 16 MP seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Continuing her election campaigning from Sirikonda in Nizamabad Lok Sabha segment, the TRS candidate canvassed vigorously and wooed people of addressing their issues. Now the Chief Minister has taken a decision to give increased pension to Beedi workers from May 1, she said. With KCR’s decision to give Rs 2,016 a month pension, the problem of beedi workers in the State and in Nizamabad segment will be settled, Kavitha claimed. She said the TRS Government has been a role model for other States in welfare and development.
KCR was keen on hiking pension than before to Beedi workers and help them lead better lives, she said, adding that the government will soon address the issues like lands of Tribals by giving them passbooks and others in the State besides giving Rs 5 lakh to people with own land to build their houses. The Chief Minister was on the job of securing support of 116 MPs to form an alternative government at the Centre if he gets 16 MP seats in Telangana, she added.
Alleging that the BJP has been indulging in religion politics and campaigning falsehood, Kavitha said the Congress gained notoriety for scams and the leadership does not enjoy support of the people. She also said while the BJP-ruled Gujrat was giving just Rs 750 pension to the old aged persons, the KCR government was paying pension since the past five years and not just before the polls, she clarified.
