Keep Surroundings Clean: Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi
Hyderabad, May 26 (Maxim News): GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Lakshmi has urged the people of the division to keep their surroundings clean. Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Lakshmi launched the Free Monsoon Sanitation Drive at NBT City in Banjara Hills on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said that the garbage in the house should be given to the Swachha Autos, and if it is not disposed of properly, there is a possibility of mosquitoes spreading diseases due to not being disposed of properly and throwing the garbage outside. The people of the division want the residents to cooperate in making the division a Swachha Division. The people of the ward must give their garbage to the Swachha Autos. They asked that there are no bins in some areas and that garbage should not be thrown in open places. Similarly, construction waste should not be thrown on the road, and if you call the GHMC C&D Waste Management Plant, they will take it away, and there is a possibility of getting sick due to throwing it outside, the Mayor said.
She suggested setting up harvest pits. She said that people have been provided better facilities for the last ten years. She said that politics should not be done in the matter of development. She said that politics should be done only during elections. She said that everyone should unite for cleanliness and cooperate in keeping the city clean. She said that permissions have been given to build houses in NBT Nagar, Bola Nagar, Uday Nagar, Khaja Nagar and Shriram Nagar in Banjara Hills ward, and care should be taken not to throw the waste generated during construction on the road or in drains. She said that anganwadi, community hall and health center will be set up in the division. She said that black water should also be prevented from coming on the road. Some residents are leaving black pipes on the road, causing trouble due to water flowing on the road, so the mayor instructed the officials to set up big harvest pits for that. The mayor said that fogging will be done in advance at all times to prevent mosquito infestation.
Additional Commissioner Raghu Prasad said… Banjara Hills will be cleaned in three to five days in the pre-sanitation drive, and the sanitation workers working in various colonies in the division will take attendance for the second time without any hassle, the Additional Commissioner said. He said that another division, which will be completed in three days, will be cleaned as a clean ward. Additional Commissioner Raghu Prasad said that 150 wards in the greater area will be cleaned in the same way.

Water Board GM Harishankar said that public safety worker safety has been given priority during the monsoon season. People should not open red-colored manholes in water logging areas. He said that the Water Board will provide full support to every program carried out by GHMC.
Zonal Commissioner Anurag Jayanthi said that in view of the possibility of early rains this time, measures like garbage, construction waste, fogging, etc. will be taken. If the people cooperate, they will make the ward clean. They want to throw garbage in a clean auto. They said that measures will be taken without water leakage.
