Kerala On High Alert Over Coronavirus

Thiruvananthapuram/Delhi/Hyderabad, may 22 (Maxim News): Kerala has declared a high alert on Corona. The government has become alert after 182 cases were officially registered in the month of May 2025. As the Corona cases are likely to increase drastically, the announcement by the state health Minister Veena George that the people should be alert is causing a stir.

The Minister has officially announced that Corona is spreading in Singapore, Hong Kong and West Asian countries. In this context, everyone should be careful. The people of Kerala have become alert.

Minister Veena George has advised anyone to wear a mask as soon as they experience cough, cold, sore throat or other symptoms of illness. The Kerala government has announced that the Omicron JN1, LF7, NB1.8 variant of the Coronavirus is the most contagious.

The symptoms of the disease are among the most contagious in this virus. Even though the spread of the virus is high, the severity is low. Self-protection is more important than anything else, she warned the people. Those travelling in public places, buses, trains and autos should wear masks. Similarly, Health minister Veena George announced that masks will be mandatory in all hospitals.

The Minister also instructed health workers, nurses, and doctors to follow the protocol in government and private hospitals, to ensure that there is no crowding and to wash their hands regularly. She also warned that people who show symptoms of corona should be treated immediately, and that refusing treatment is a crime.

The high-level officials of the state who met to discuss the corona cases registered in the state of Kerala, after discussing the precautions to be taken, gave these orders.

The minister said that 57 cases have been registered in Kottayam district, 345 in Ernakulam and 30 in thiruvananthapuram and advised the people to get tested immediately if they have a cold, cough, or sore throat.

The Kerala government has put everyone on high alert to maintain personal safety and hygiene to prevent the increase in corona cases. (Maxim News)
