Parties earlier viewed the Jubilee Hills vacancy as a challenge. Now they consider Khairatabad a crucial battleground.

They began early groundwork to field strong candidates and secure an advantage.

Moreover, leaders treat the upcoming bypoll as a prestige contest.

The disqualification buzz around Danam Nagender grew louder. Legal experts flagged his decision to contest as MP on a Congress ticket while holding a BRS MLA post.

They believe disciplinary action is likely. This pushed him toward a possible resignation. Congress leaders now assess candidate options.

The leadership reportedly examines Danam’s name along with that of PJR’s daughter Vijayashanti Reddy. Party sources say they study winning chances in both cases. Supporters of Vijayashanti worry about her future if the party picks Danam.

Khairatabad By poll Strategies Gain Momentum

Danam also faces fear of another bypoll setback. In 2004 he joined TDP overnight after missing a Congress ticket.

He won Asif Nagar as a TDP nominee. He then expected a berth in the YS Rajasekhara Reddy cabinet. He resigned from his MLA post to contest again as a Congress candidate.

However, he lost the bypoll. This history fuels anxiety. Reports suggest he requested an MLC seat and a cabinet berth during his recent Delhi visit.

BRS leaders explore their own choices. They prefer to field Talsani Srinivas Yadav’s son Sai Kiran. Yet the party also tracks Vijayashanti Reddy. They may invite her to join BRS if Congress denies her a ticket. If she stays with Congress, BRS will go ahead with Sai Kiran.

BJP leaders consider former MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy. He won the seat in 2014 and lost twice afterward. Party leaders believe he needs deeper voter outreach. They argue that stronger local engagement can open a path for a competitive BJP campaign. They began internal reviews to shape a more effective strategy.
