Kishan Slams KCR for Deciding to Boycott Niti Ayog Meeting

Hyderabad, Aug.7 (Maxim News): Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy today slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for taking a decision to abstain from the governing council meeting of Niti Ayog which was against the federal spirit of the country.

He said it was completely wrong that KCR boycotted the meeting of the Niti Ayog, which was meant to discuss the development of the country.

Making it clear that KCR is free to abstain from the Niti Ayog meeting, Kishan Reddy condemned the allegations of the Chief Minister against the Ayog and alleged that the comments of the CM were politically motivated.

Speaking to media persons in New Delhi, Kishan Reddy claimed that Chief Minister KCR made the allegations as he was frustrated after seeing the growth of the BJP in Telangana.

He said the KCR government, which took credit for the rankings of the Niti Ayog, was now targeting it and added that the CM had changed his attitude due to the changed political circumstances in the State.

Reddy asked the CM why he failed to fulfill his promises like the distribution of three acres of land to the landless Dalit families. He said the Central government had given the freedom to all the States to build as many houses as possible after identifying lands for the construction purpose. The Central government was releasing funds to the houses built by the State governments.

He alleged that the KCR State government was not implementing the housing scheme in the State as it was scared that the credit behind building the houses would go to the Union government. (Maxim News)
