Komati Denies Leaving Congress
Hyderabad, Sept.7 (Maxim News): Congress leader and former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today said there was no truth in the news reports that he was contemplating to leave the Congress party.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Komatireddy faulted CM K Chandrashekhar Rao for dissolving the Assembly abruptly and going in for early elections. He opined that former Speaker KR Suresh Reddy might have left the Congress thinking that he would not win the election this time also.
Komatireddy alleged that KCR deceived the people by going for early elections. He said the Congress party was ever ready to face the elections whenever they were conducted. He said Congress MLC and his brother Rajagopal Reddy would contest the election from Munugodu. “We have the strength of ensure not only our victory but also the victory of 40 candidates”, he added.
