Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy hailed the Indian Air Force (IAF) for carrying out air strikes against Jaish-e-Mohammed’s (JeM) training camp at Balakot, reportedly killing a large number of terrorists and their trainers.
“My salute to the Indian Air Force. Jai jawan… Jai Hind #IndiaStrikesBack #IndianAirForce,” Kumaraswamy tweeted.
Foreign Secretary Vijay K. Gokhale claimed that the IAF had struck the training camp of JeM early on Tuesday, killing “a large number” of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders and groups of jihadis being trained for fidayeen.
The air strike came days after JeM claimed responsibility for the February 14 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama, which left 40 CRPF troopers dead.
