KTR & Asaduddin Owaisi Hand Over Rs 5 Lakh Ex-Gratia To Flood Victims

Hyderabad, Oct.17 (Maxim News): Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today offered Rs 5 lakh each deceased families kin in the old city during a trip.

He also promised to provide housing facility from the government to those poor who have lost their homes in the huge floods.

The minister directed to remove all encroachments in Appa Cheruvu in Rajendranagar area which was breached due to heavy rains and caused inundation. He asked to take up immediate shelters, relief, sanitation measures to prevent possible spread of viral diseases due to mud piled up in deluge.

Along with MP Asaduddin Owaisi and others KTR met with the kin and consoled them. The minister asked for providing food, medicines, blankets and all help to the flood victims. He tried to convince and pacify the anguish kin of the deceased families. The government will offer housing facility to this who have lost them in the huge floods.

The minister expressed grief that despite serious efforts by civic, rescue and police staff some lives were lost in the floods of heavy rains. It is painful to hear of this pathetic situation and the officials were instructed to help the rain victims, KTR gas said.

The minister instructed the officials to conduct health camps to provide immediate health services to rain victims. Sanitation, cleansing of mud is important to upkeep of the rain hut areas and residences he said. He made a visit to Appa cheruvu, 44 number national highway which was repaired after it was washed away a few days ago hit by the deluge.

The minister has asked the rain victims to get help in the shelters and cooperate. Normalcy is returning as rains are stopped as rescue measures were increased he said. The minister gave confidence of all help and asked the victims to get relieved and avoid panic. (Maxim News)
