- KTR Assembly criticism on six guarantees and missing file
- BRS questions Congress over FSL fire and promises
Hyderabad: KTR Assembly criticism intensified during the Telangana Assembly budget session as BRS Working President K T Rama Rao targeted the Congress government. He questioned the delay in giving legal status to the six guarantees promised earlier.
Speaking during the discussion on the motion thanking the Governor’s address, KTR recalled earlier assurances. He said the Governor had stated in the first Assembly speech that the six guarantees would get legal backing. He also referred to Rahul Gandhi’s statement that legal guarantees would be provided in the first Cabinet meeting. However, he pointed out that even after two and a half years, no such step was taken.
Meanwhile, KTR raised questions about the file related to the six guarantees. He said the Chief Minister had claimed to sign it soon after taking charge. However, he remarked that no one now knows where the file is. He then made a sarcastic comment, asking whether the file was burnt in the recent fire accident at the Forensic Science Laboratory.

He further demanded that the government set up a Special Investigation Team to trace the missing file. He alleged that the government had ignored promises made to the public and shifted focus to other matters. Therefore, he said the BRS would introduce a private member bill in the Assembly to provide legal backing to the six guarantees.
KTR also urged the government to fulfil promises made to farmers and women. He stressed that public trust depends on keeping commitments. He said leaders who act with authority cannot take wealth with them. He also recalled that rulers in the past honoured their promises.
Later, he stated that no one remains in power forever and positions are temporary. He added that the Governor’s address should reflect the government’s priorities and vision. However, he said that such clarity was missing in the recent speech, raising concerns about its credibility.
