KTR Cites Infosys Land Sale Row To Question Congress Land Policy In Telangana

Hyderabad, Dec 28 (Maxim News): BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday accused the Congress government in Telangana of indulging in a massive sale of prime public land. He said nearly 9,300 acres of land, valued at close to Rs 5 lakh crore, was being put on the block under the guise of asset monetisation.

The BRS leader’s remarks came in response to a post by Congress MP Karti P Chidambaram on X, who criticised Infosys for selling 53.46 acres of land in Attibele, Bengaluru, to the Puravankara Group for Rs 250 crore. Karti argued that land allotted at concessional rates for a defined purpose cannot be sold later at commercial prices and that both the land and proceeds should revert to the government.

Congress Govt in Telangana is indulging in not just sale of one chunk of industrial land but 9,300 acres of land worth almost 5 Lakh crores!!
