BRS Working President KTR has strongly condemned the derogatory comments made by Congress MLA Danam Nagendar against MP Kangana Ranaut, emphasizing that no political goal should justify disrespect towards women.

In a statement, KTR expressed his dismay over the vile language used, stating, “While I may not agree with her opinions or her party’s ideology, the level of discourse should never sink to such lows. Respect towards women should be non-negotiable.”

KTR further criticized the silence of Congress leaders at national and state levels, questioning whether their lack of response indicated approval of such behavior. He pointed out the contrast in how BRS leaders have historically responded to disrespectful remarks. “When Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma made disgraceful comments about Sonia Gandhi, it was KCR who was the first to condemn those remarks, even before Congress leaders in Telangana, including the current CM Revanth Reddy, reacted,” KTR said.

He emphasized that a heinous crime, whether it be rape, murder, or a degrading remark against a woman, should be condemned with equal intensity. KTR called on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to set a higher standard within his party and instill values of decency and respect towards women in his cadre.

“Political affiliations do not determine respect for women. This is about basic human decency,” KTR concluded, urging all political leaders to rise above differences and maintain ethical standards in public discourse.
