KTR Helping Realtors, But Not Common Man: Kodanda
Hyderabad, Feb.19 (Maxim News): Former chairman of HUDA M Kodanda Reddy said illegal buildings were being built by inexperienced people in the cities. He said the buildings were constructed illegally across the country.
Addressing mediapersons here, Kodanda Reddy said the Real Estate Regulatory Authority Act was enacted when present Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu was the Union minister of Urban Development. He said the main objective of the Act was to provide protection to the buyers from builders. He said the Act was brought into force in the year 2016.
He also alleged that a full-fledged authority was not formed in the State. He alleged that MA&UD Minister K Tarakarama Rao, who was extending all help to the builders, was ignoring the problems faced by the buyers. He made it clear to KTR that there was no link between his claims and his deeds. Alleging that the rulers of the State were trying to encash the popularity of the State capital but not taking into consideration the problems faced by the people of the city, Reddy alleged that the State government had given away lands worth thousands of crores is rupees. He made it clear that the State government was by the side of the builders and not the common man, he said. (Maxim News)
