KTR lambasts Centre for scraping ITIR project

Hyderabad, July 29 (Maxim News): Taking strong objection to the union government’s decision to scrap the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) project for Hyderabad, IT Minister KT Rama Rao alleged that the Centre was indulging in cheap politics and the ITIR project was cancelled only because the TRS government was opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies.

Minister KT Rama Rao said the ITIR project for Hyderabad was announced in the House of Parliament on several occasions and however, the BJP government had deceived the people of Telangana for failing to fulfil on its promise.

Finding fault with the statement of Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who announced in the Parliament that ITIR project for Hyderabad was scrapped, KTR said it was in the BJP party’s DNA to easily lie about anything and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar had uttered the same in the Parliament. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proved to be a curse for Telangana and he has exposed his true colours once again by cheating the people of Telangana.

In a statement on Friday, the Minister alleged that the Union government had no proper policy for skill development and job creation in the country and it was running the country by telling lies and deceiving people.

“Telangana IT sector has lost a great opportunity to grow further due to the scrapping of ITIR project,” KTR lamented.

The Minister said even though there was no contribution from the union government in the growth of IT sector in Hyderabad, the Telangana’s IT sector had registered a higher growth rate than India’s total IT growth. (Maxim News)
