Minister for Handlooms and Textiles K T Rama Rao on Wednesday appreciated the authors of ‘Padugu Pekalu’ (Weavers’ stories), stating that the collection of Telugu stories on handloom weavers will be useful to understand the lives of weavers in the State.
The book was compiled by S Srinivas, M Obulesh and V Sridhar, and it contains 58 stories related to the Telangana handloom weavers and their lives from 1924 to 2016. The Minister congratulated them for highlighting the problems faced by the weavers community.
