KTR Resign Posters Ignite Debate In Jubilee Hills By-Election
Hyderabad, Nov. 8: Posters questioning whether BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao is “ready to resign” triggered a sharp political exchange in Jubilee Hills on Saturday.
As the by-election campaign reached its final day. The posters, referring to the JBS–Shamirpet elevated corridor project, challenged KTR’s earlier remarks that he would step down if work on the corridor began.
Congress Leaders Cite On-Ground Progress in Corridor Project
According to the posters and statements made by Congress leaders, the government has allocated ₹4,263 crore for the JBS–Shamirpet corridor.
The message links the project to Cantonment development, asserting that physical work has begun under the Congress government.
TPCC general secretary Prithvi Choudhary and Cantonment MLA Ganesh visited the site near Paradise Junction and claimed that construction work, including waterline shifting, pole relocation, and boundary wall construction, is visibly underway.
They said the project officially launched on September 15, covering the NH-44 stretch from Paradise Junction to Dairy Farm Road.
The leaders also cited a government order sanctioning the works and noted that ₹357 crore has been allocated for land acquisition.

The total expenditure for the two linked projects is expected to reach ₹5,700 crore.
Speaking at the inspection site, MLA Ganesh said the Congress government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is converting promises into reality.
He demanded that KTR and other BRS leaders keep their word and resign before the Speaker, now that the works have begun.
With campaigning closing on Saturday, the “KTR Resign Posters” narrative has turned into a focal point of the Jubilee Hills by-election.
Both parties are using it to sharpen their messaging on infrastructure development and political accountability in Hyderabad’s key urban constituency.
