Hyderabad, Sept. 27: BRS Working President KTR said KCR remains the leader who awakened Telangana and gave its people a voice. He made the remarks as Congress leaders from Rajendranagar joined the BRS on Sunday.
KTR criticised the Congress government over its handling of DJ music and alleged police action in Hyderabad. He said the police should focus on maintaining law and order rather than restricting DJ performances.
He questioned the Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s statements on DJ music and said the police should prevent violence and punish offenders. However, he alleged that the police were instead seizing DJ equipment under the Congress government.
KTR Says KCR Retains Public Support
KTR also criticised the government’s approach towards Telangana’s culture. He said the police were confiscating DJ equipment despite public interest in the celebrations. He further referred to the response to a recent film featuring KCR.
KTR said he watched the three hour film with Jagadish Reddy and Kaushik Reddy. He noted that KCR appeared for only four minutes in the film. However, he said those four minutes attracted considerable attention from the audience.
KTR said the film reflected the continued affection for KCR among Telangana’s people. He described the former Chief Minister as a leader who gave the state a voice and awakened the people.
He also said the BRS had no reason to feel disappointed or afraid after losing power. According to KTR, public affection for KCR remained unchanged despite the change in government.
