KTR Shocking Comments On By-Elections and Other Key Issues During Delhi Visit
Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 6 (Maxim News): BRS Working President and former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) recently made surprising comments about the by-elections, saying that people are demanding them. This comes after the Supreme Court issued notices to the MLAs who left their party, saying they should be disqualified.
KTR mentioned that he plans to discuss the issue with legal experts. He also said he would return to Hyderabad later in the evening after finishing his visit to Delhi.
While in Delhi, KTR met Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as instructed by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He also submitted a petition raising concerns about recent changes to UGC (University Grants Commission) rules.
KTR argued that some parts of the new rules go against federalism and take away powers from state governments. He criticized efforts to give governors more control over university appointments, which would reduce the state’s role. He suggested that experts should be involved in choosing Vice Chancellors to make the process more transparent, and he shared his concerns directly with the UGC.
Additionally, KTR met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to discuss extending NH-365B, which currently ends at Sircilla, to Korutla. He proposed building a rail-cum-road bridge to improve connectivity and support local development. (Maxim News)
