KTR to inaugurate Telangana’s first Assistive Technology Exhibition on 3rd Dec

The exhibition is a part of Virtual AT Summit that will have Principal Scientific Adviser to Govt. of India Prof. K. Vijayraghavan as keynote speaker

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (Maxim News): Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) is hosting a State-level Exhibition for Assistive Technology on 3rd December that marks International Day for Disabled Persons, to recognize and showcase assistive and rehabilitative solutions for the elderly and people with disabilities (PWDs).

The exhibition being organized at HMDA Grounds will be inaugurated by Minister of IT K. T. Rama Rao at 4.00 PM. The minister would be visiting the 30+ innovations devised by Grassroot Innovators, Students, and Startups across India while the majority of them are from Telangana, and recognize the efforts being put in by innovators to innovate in the space of AT.

The exhibition is a part of the larger Assistive Technology Summit 2020 which has a culmination of stakeholders from Academia, Government, startups, and Non-profit. The stakeholders for the summit and exhibition are IIT Hyderabad, T Works, Social Alpha, Artilab Foundation, Assistech Foundation,
L V Prasad Eye Institute, Youth4Jobs, Unmukt-The Senior Hub, Kult.

The exhibition, a public event that will see innovations on Visual Impairment, Developmental & Cognitive Disabilities, Locomotor Disability, Speech & Hearing Impairment and Senior Citizens will be conducted at HMDA Grounds from 4 pm. (Maxim News)
