‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ raises Rs 12 crore on opening day
Mumbai, August 12: “Laal Singh Chaddha,” a film starring Aamir Khan, grossed Rs 12 crore net on its first day of release in India.”
Laal Singh Chaddha,” directed by Advait Chandan of “Secret Superstar” fame and adapted by noted actor Atul Kulkarni, is the official remake of the Tom Hanks-starrer Hollywood classic “Forrest Gump” (1994).
The first day of sales for the Indian box office release of “Laal Singh Chaddha,” starring Aamir Khan, brought in Rs 12 crore net.
The official version of the Tom Hanks-starring Hollywood classic “Forrest Gump” is “Laal Singh Chaddha,” which was directed by “Secret Superstar” director Advait Chandan and was adapted by renowned actor Atul Kulkarni (1994).
The movie was released in Tamil and Telugu in addition to Hindi.
Additionally playing important roles in the film are Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya, and Manav Vij. Both veteran actress Kamini Kaushal and superstar Shah Rukh Khan make cameo appearances.
