Labour Exploitation In Home Guard System: Alleged Kishan Reddy
Hyderabad, Sept 7 (Maxim News): Telangana BJP Chief G. Kishan Reddy said that the suicide attempt of Home Guard Ravinder, who has been working for 17 years, is sad and unfortunate.
Speaking to the media persons, today, today, he said that there is the exploitation of labour in the home guard system. Telangana government is insulting the home guard system and he has continuously fought for the welfare of the home guard. He said that when he was an MLA, he stood up to the government for the rights and problems of the home guard. He alleged that the promises given by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao were not implemented. He said that he would regularize the home guard system and criticized him for not doing it so far.
Kishan Reddy said that if the duty of home guards is 8 hours, they are doing more than that, they demanded that the home guards should be given job security, recognized as government employees, health allowance and double bedroom houses should be given to the home guards. He said that the home guards who were promised by KCR have not been given justice. He said that the problem has not been resolved after five and a half years of KCR’s promise. He expressed concern that the home guards are falling by the wayside.
Kishan Reddy demanded the government pay timely salaries to the home guards, take steps to save Ravinder’s life, and stand by his family. Ravinder wants to survive. It is necessary to protect the rights of home guards and no home guards should commit suicide. He said that the problem cannot be solved by suicide, but they want to fight peacefully for their rights. Kishan Reddy made it clear that once the BJP government comes to Telangana, they will stand by the home guards and the BJP will stand by Ravinder’s family. (Maxim News)
