Lakshmi Manchu Launches One Crore Tees Social Campaign

Hyderabad, Feb.13 (Maxim News): Gigantic Retailers Pvt Ltd said one crore Tees unique social campaign that attempts to retail one crore T-Shirts in one year and to contribute Rs 5 crore towards Teach for Change Trust, Hyderabad. The campaign was launched by actor Lakshmi Manchu representing Teach for Change along with Padmashri Awardee Dr Manjula Anagani, Premamalini, a pioneering journalist.

Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmi Manchu said, “We at Teach for Change, are working towards quality education for all, regardless of their families’ income. Teach for Change began with 10 schools and currently active in over 2,500 schools across the country with the commitment of volunteers, leaders of government, industry and media. We were thrilled when we heard about the unique campaign which would help Teach for Change scale up its work and impact. With a lot of excitement, we have partnered with one crore Tees on the gigantic campaign.

Kanthi Dutt, founder, 1 Crore Tees, said “It’s a unique social campaign with a holistic objective to raise funds for creating better literacy standards in rural India through initiatives by Teach for Change. 1 crore tees pledged for glorious future of the children, who are denied education due to poverty.
