Laxman claims KCR caused damage to self-respect of Telangana people

Hyderabad, Sept.1 (NSS): BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Dr K. Laxman today claimed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao caused damage to self-respect of Telangana people. He ridiculed that the Chief Minister was trying to taste victory in national politics instead of first focusing on his party’s victory in Telangana.

Referring to joint press meet of K Chandrashekar Rao with his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar at Patna on Tuesday, Laxman claimed that the KCR had caused damage to the self-respect of Telangana people by repeatedly asking Nitish Kumar to sit with him while addressing the joint press conference. He also claimed that had become a laughing stock after his Bihar visit. He alleged that the CM KCR had gone to Bihar when the people of the State were suffering with a lot of problems.

Speaking to mediapersons, Laxman claimed that the comments of KCR gave an indication that he was getting close to the Congress party. Referring to the decision of KCR to extend financial aid to the martyrs of Galwan valley, he asked KCR as to what he would do for the martyrs of Telangana. He asked the CM KCR as to why he was not visiting the family members of Telangana martyrs and extending financial aid to them?

Laxman alleged that KCR was ignoring the suicides of the farmers of the State and added that the Chief Minister had confined himself to his farm house and camp office Pragathi Bhavan. Noting that the people of the State were observing everything in Telangana, he claimed that the fear of losing elections in the upcoming Munugodu by-elections.

Referring to the comments of Chief Minister KCR that there is a steep increase in the prices of vegetables, he asked the CM as to what he was doing when the State was importing vegetables from the neighboring States. He said while the State was receiving cabbage from Karnataka, it is importing tomatoes and lady finger from Andhra Pradesh.

Commenting on the political alliance with the TDP in the neighboring Andhra Pradesh in the next Assembly elections, Laxman scoffed the reports as just rumors and added that their party would contest the Assembly elections in AP along with actor-turned politician Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party. He made it clear that the party would face the next Assembly elections on its own without any alliance with any political party. (NSS)
