Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi today greeted the people on the occasion of “Ugadi” tomorrow. In a statement here, Dr.Bedi said ‘Ugadi”, the new year of the Telugu and Kannada speaking people marks the onset of spring, during which flora life blossoms.
The festival celebrated with “Ugadi Pacchadi” of sweet and bitter taste signifies the fact that happiness and challenges have to be accepted with grace and equanimity . The Lt.Governor wished all peace, prosperity and happiness in the lives of the people of the Union Territory on the occasion.
