Hyderabad, Aug.17 (Maxim News): During the past one week, Southwest Monsoon remained active over Telangana state with excess to large excess by +129% over the state as a whole. Under the influence of Low pressure system over Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood and subsequently concentrated into Depression, light to moderate Rain occurred at most places with heavy rainfall at a few places and very heavy rain at isolated places over Khammam, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally, Adilabad, Komrambhem-Asifabab, Mancherial, Peddapalle and Mahabubabad during 11-12 August and again during 16-17 August over Adilabad, Komrambhem-Asifabab, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Jagtial, Rajanna-Sircilla, Peddapalle districts.
The highest rainfall of 293.8mm recorded at Dandepalle (Mancherial) on August 12 and 237.8mm at Ichoda (Adilabad) on August 17 during the week. (Maxim News)
