Liquor Prices Come Down in Telangana

Liquor | Hyderabad, May 6 (Maxim News): Liquor prices have come down in Telangana State. Prices of all brands of liquor, except beer, have come down due to a reduction in excise duty imposed by the state government on liquor. The prices have been reduced by Rs. 40 on a full bottle, Rs. 20 on a half bottle, and Rs. 10 on a quarter bottle.

Officials of the Excise department revealed that they have reduced upto Rs. 60 on full bottles of some brands. He said that the reduced prices have come into effect from May 5. Officials have concluded that liquor is being illegally imported into Telangana from outside states due to high prices. Excise officials explained that the government has reduced the prices to control illegal liquor transport. (Maxim News)
