GHMC Election Results 2020 Live Updates: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Elections results for all the 150 wards will be announced today (Friday, 4 December). and as many as 8152 personnel will be involved in the entire vote-counting exercise.
Counting of votes will take place in 30 locations and for every round 14,000 votes will be counted. A total of 150 halls have been setup and each hall will have 14 tables and 31 observers to monitor the counting of votes. Surveillance cameras are setup at each table to ensure transparency.
First, postal ballots will be counted followed by ballot paper votes. A total of 34,50,331 votes are polled in all the 150 wards.

TRS leads in 31 seats, AIMIM 20, BJP 15
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leading in 31 seats, AIMIM 20 while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in 15 seats.
The official counting results of postal ballots is yet to be announced by the State Election Commission. On the other hand, the first round votes counting has begun for Musheerabad, Sanathnagar, Chintal, Suraram, Golnaka and a few other divisions.
Heavy security in place: CP Sajjanar
Cyberabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar said that they have deployed security at the counting centres under Cyberabad commissionerate limits. The CP along with senior officials visited the counting centres in Miyapur. He said that around 7,000 personnel were deployed on duty and special arrangements were made at sensitive areas.
BJP leads in postal ballots
BJP was leading in 84 out of the total 150 wards in the postal ballots which were counted first. While the TRS was in lead in 29 wards followed by AIMIM in 17. The Congress party was leading in two wards. At 11 am, the counting of votes polled in ballot boxes began and the trends are expected to be clear around 3 pm. The final result is expected at 5 pm.

GHMC sees best voter turnout ever:
The election authorities on Wednesday said the final polling percentage in 150 wards of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation was 46.55. This is the highest polling percentage recorded since the formation of Greater Hyderabad in 2007.
Court Orders:
