The government also introduced a new rule for LPG consumers. Now there must be a 25-day gap between two cylinder bookings.

This rule aims to stop hoarding and black marketing. It will also help families get cylinders on time.

Priority for Hospitals and Schools

The Centre has given top priority to essential sectors. Hospitals and educational institutions will receive imported LPG first. This step will help them avoid supply problems.

The government has also formed a special panel. The panel includes three executive directors from oil marketing companies (OMCs).

This group will review LPG requests from hotels, restaurants and other industries. After that, it will decide how much gas each sector will receive.

Officials say the goal is simple. The government wants to protect household users first. At the same time, it wants essential services to run without trouble.
