Madras HC Orders Ban On People Of Other Religion In Temples
Chennai/Hyderabad, Jan 31 (Maxim News): The Madras High Court has issued sensational verdict on the entry of other religions into Hindu temples.

Henceforth it has been said that all Hindu temples in Tamil Nadu will not allow people of other religions to cross the Kodimaram (flag pole).
Madras High Court Madurai Bench Judge Justice S. Srimati has passed the orders stating that Hindus have the fundamental right to practice their religion and profession.

A person named D.Senthil Kumar filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking a direction to the respondents to allow only Hindus to enter the Arulmigu Palani Dandayuthapani Swamy temple and its sub-temples.
The Madurai bench which heard the petition said that display boards should be set up at the entrances of all temples prohibiting the entry of non-believers.

The petition has included the Principal Secretary, Commissioner, Department of Tourism, Culture and Religion. The Executive Officer of the Palani Temple and the Department of Hindu Religion and Dharma on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu as respondents. (Maxim News)
