Maha Kumbh Mela Ends: Four More Kumbh Melas In Next 5 Years
Prayagraj/Hyderabad, Feb 26 (Maxim News): The Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela, which began on January 13, will conclude on February 26 (today), the day of Mahashivaratri. It is the largest spiritual festival attended by more than half of the Hindu population worldwide. More than 65 crore devotees participated in the event, which lasted for about 45 days. Hindus from all over the world took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, the holy confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.
This great spiritual event will end today. In this sequence, the question has arisen among everyone as to when the next Kumbh Mela will be held. On this occasion, here are all the pilgrimage sites related to the Kumbh Mela in the next five years. They will be held in Haridwar, Ujjain, Nashik and Prayagraj.
Both Kumbh Mela and Ardh Kumbh Mela will be held in Haridwar. The Kumbh Mela will be held after 12 years. Ardha Kumbh Mela will be held after 6 years. With this, the first Ardha Kumbh Mela will be organized in Haridwar in 2027. The authorities are preparing the ground for this. The last Ardha Kumbh Mela was held in Haridwar in 2021.
Kumbh Mela will be held in Nashik after 12 years in 2027. According to the latest information, the event will begin on July 17, 2027, and end on August 17, 2027. The event will be held at Trimbakeshwar, located about 38 km from Nashik on the holy banks of the Godavari River. This Kumbh Mela was previously held in 2015.
The Simhastha Kumbh Mela is held once every 12 years on the banks of the Shipra River in Ujjain. It is now scheduled to be held in 2028. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has already started preparation. For this, the government has approved the establishment of a spiritual city in Ujjain on an area of about 3,300 hectares.
Like Haridwar, Prayagraj hosts both the Kumbh Mela and the Ardh Kumbh Mela. In 2025 (currently), it hosted the Maha Kumbh Mela. In 2030, Prayagraj will host the Ardh Kumbh Mela. Notably, the Kumbh Mela will be held only in these four places. (Maxim News)
