Mahakutami Will Stop Growth: KTR
Hyderabad, Oct.30 (Maxim News): Caretaker Minister KT Rama Rao today alleged that Yellareddy and Kamareddy regions have always been neglected in the United Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing a public meeting at Kamareddy as part of his political campaign, the minister said that the TRS government has put in efforts in the past four years and developed the region in terms of agriculture. Earlier in the day, Rama Rao received a grand welcome during his election rally from Kamareddy to Yellareddy.
He expressed displeasure at the congress forging alliance with the Telugu Desam for financial support in the elections. If Congress – TDP alliance comes to power in Telangana, the irrigation projects will come to a halt, he warned.
Taking a dig at the Congress-TDP tie-up, Rama Rao said, “Congress has no cadre and TDP has no leader in Telangana.” Holding a bunch of letters in hand, Rama Rao said, “Chandrababu Naidu has written as many as 30 letters to centre asking them not to give permission for irrigation projects in Telangana.” “How can these leaders do any good to Telangana when they want to stop the development works in the state,” he asked.
The Minister mentioned that water and uninterrupted power supply had been the top priority of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao during the past four years. The Minister highlighted the flagship programs at the meeting and said that more than 40 lakh poor people received pensions in the state after TRS came to power. He announced the setting up of food processing unit at Yellareddy after the people give mandate to the TRS. The unit he said will create direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region.
