Maharshi Valmiki, the author of Ramayana Maha Kavya, celebrated his birth anniversary at GHMC headquarters on Thursday. Commemorating Maharishi Valmiki’s birth anniversary, GHMC Commissioner Ilambarthi Valmiki paid tributes by garlanding the portrait.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said that Maharshi Valmiki wrote the Ramayana and gave a wonderful wealth to Indian literature. He said that the teachings of Dharma, spirituality, justice, and moral values expressed in Valmiki’s writings are an inspiration to all. Valmiki advised everyone to follow the path of dharma, truth, and justice by respecting their aspirations.
