Majid Hussain Leads Efforts to Clean Up Nampally

Majid Hussain | Hyderabad, October 4: In a bid to address the pressing issue of stagnant water and pollution in Nampally Constituency, AIMIM Nampally MLA Majid Hussainalong with GHMC Commissioner Amarpali Katha and other GHMC officials, inspected the affected areas and identified solutions and emergency measures on Friday.

The inspection highlighted the serious drainage problems in many areas and parks, which are causing public health problems and environmental damage. The MLA Majid stressed urgent action to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure the well-being of the residents.

During the inspection, Majid Hussain directed GHMC officials to implement a comprehensive plan to address standing water issues.

This program includes:

Desilting and Cleaning: Remove dirt and accumulated water from gutters and gardens to improve drainage and prevent waterlogging.

Stormwater maintenance: Make sure storm drains are working properly to allow rainwater to drain damaged areas properly.

Improve drainage: Drainage is improved to prevent drainage and reduce flood risk.

Regular Maintenance: Implement a routine maintenance program to ensure drains, streets and street lights are clean and in good working order.

Apart from water issues, the MLA also reviewed the status of street lights in the constituency. He directed the GHMC officials to speedily repair and replace the damaged street lights to enhance public safety and improve the overall quality of life of the residents.

Md Majid Hussain expressed his commitment to addressing the concerns of Nampally residents and ensuring their well-being. He assured the community that the GHMC would take prompt action to resolve the issues related to water stagnation and street lights.
