“Before the launch of the programme, an awareness campaign should be taken up to impress upon the people the need for eye test. MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other elected representatives should lend a helping hand in spreading awareness about the programme, cutting across the length and breadth of the State,” he said, during a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan.
Stating that the programme should be planned properly with an action plan in place, the Chief Minister said: “The first move should be to find out how many eye camps need to be conducted in the State, and the number of tests one medical team can conduct in a day. Based on this, the number of medical teams required for each village, based on population figures, can be calculated.”
