Malla Reddy Engineering College Blacklisted

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has shocked the Mallareddy Engineering College, situated at Dhoolpally, near Kompally. The college was blacklisted for submitting fake documents and tampering with digitisation for NAAC recognition.

The NAAC found the document submitted by the institution for the accreditation forged which resulted in blacklisting the college for five years.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council is a government organisation that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions in India.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council-NAC blacklisted the college for five years without applying for recognition again. A showcase notice has been issued to the college management to this effect. It has to be seen how the management will react to it. On the other hand, the students and the parents associated with the college have a tough time handling the pressure.

The NAAC observed that the Self Study Report(SSR) given by the institution for the accreditation has discrepancies in it. The council noted that the certificated purported to have been given by BHEL, Yash Technologies and Airtel, appear to be fabricated in layer especially with the seal, signature and letterhead aspects.

The digital expertise opinion obtained by the NAAC also confirmed the possibility of digital fabrications.
