Mallu Ravi Demands Govt To Hold Talks With RTC JAC

Hyderabad, Nov.15 (Maxim News): TPCC Vice President Mallu Ravi on Friday demanded the state government to immediately hold discussions with the joint action committee leaders of RTC. He also demanded the state government to keep aside the main demand of the RTC workers to merge the corporation with the state government.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Ravi brought to the notice of the state government that the RTC workers had decided to drop their main demand keeping in view the future of the corporation and added that it was now the turn of the state government to reciprocate to the gesture made by the RTC workers.

He said that it was unfortunate that the state government did not respond even after 41 days of the launch of the strike by RTC JAC. He made it clear to the state government that it was not proper to show arrogance and reluctance to hold discussions.

He urged the state government to also consider the main demand of the merger of the corporation of the workers by constituting a committee like it’s counterpart Andhra Pradesh government. He made it clear to the state government that the ongoing strike of the RTC was not new to the state and added that the RTC workers had played a crucial role in the formation of the separate Telangana state. He told the state government that the people of the state had been requesting the state government to find a solution to the ongoing strike and end their problems.

He said that the problem would come to an end if the state government hold discussions with the RTC workers and submit a report before the High Court on November 18. He warned the state government that it would have to pay a heavy price if it didn’t respond to the request made by the RTC workers.(Maxim News)
