Man And Woman Held For Smuggling Illicit Liquor From Maharashtra, In Adilabad
Adilabad/Hyderabad, May 4 (Maxim News): Two persons were apprehended for allegedly smuggling banned desi daru or illicit liquor brewed in Maharashtra, by an auto-rickshaw at Dollara village in Jainath mandal on Sunday. A total of 1,270 liquor bottles worth Rs. 45,720 were seized from the two.
In a statement, sleuths of a task force and enforcement wings belonging to the Prohibition and Excise department said that Sura Ravi and Chintala Sujatha, both from Gandhinagar and Voddera Colony i Adilabad town, respectively were arrested when they were carrying the bottles, following a tip-off. They were produced before a court and were sent to a judicial remand.
