Man Arrested for Selling Stale Animal Offal in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, March 22 (Maxim News): The Task Force (South-East) team, along with GHMC officials, raided a meat shop in Dabeerpura and arrested a man for illegally storing and selling stale offal of sheep and goats on Friday.
During the raid, officials seized 2 quintals of offal, including trotters, head, tongue, brain, kidney, and liver, all valued at Rs. 1.5 lakh. The arrested man was identified as Mohd Misbahuddin (24), a meat seller from Dabeerpura.
According to the police, Misbahuddin was purchasing stale offals at low prices from the wholesale market, storing them in unhygienic conditions, and later supplying them to hotels, functions, and events, putting public health at risk.
Acting on a tip-off, authorities raided the premises, arrested the accused, and confiscated the contaminated meat. Further investigation is underway. (Maxim News)
