Man Beaten to Death Over Scrap Dispute in Medchal, Couple Arrested
Hyderabad, July 14 (Maxim News): In a shocking incident, a man was brutally beaten to death by a couple over a scrap-related argument at the Medchal check post area on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
According to police reports, the victim, identified as Narsimhu (37), a native of Timmapur village in Medak district, was involved in a heated altercation with Edunuri Narasimha alias Chinna and his wife Anita, who reside in the Medchal municipal area and make a living by collecting and selling plastic and paper waste.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon near Venkataramana Liquor Shop. As per eyewitness accounts and CCTV footage, Narsimhu, who was consuming alcohol at the time, engaged in an argument with the couple, which quickly escalated into violence. The husband and wife allegedly attacked him with sticks, leading to his death on the spot due to severe injuries.
It wasn’t until night that Mahesh Medchal, the manager of the liquor store, noticed the incident and alerted the local police. Officers arrived at the scene and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem examination.
The Medchal police have arrested the accused couple and registered a case of murder under relevant IPC sections. An investigation is currently underway to ascertain further details, including the exact motive behind the attack.
This incident has sparked concern among local residents, with calls for increased patrolling in the area to prevent such violent confrontations, especially around liquor shops and public spaces.
