Manair incident unfortunate: KTR asks officials to check problem

Hyderabad, Nov.17 (Maxim News): Minister KT Rama Rao today expressed grief at the death of six children in the incident of Manair project in Siricilla district. The minister reached the family members of the deceased at his segment. The minister consoled the kin who got into tears on the loss of their children and offered some financial assistance.

Later the minister directed that the district officials take all measures to avoid such incidents. The government offers some financial assistance to the deceased family members, he said. KT Rama Rao expressed grief that six out of 9 children who went for swimming reportedly died in the Manair project. We are taking all measures to avoid such incidents as the kin of the deceased families urged, the Minister said.

The Minister asked district collector and engineering officials to coordinate to be more vigilant to avoid such incidents in future. He urged the people to avoid sending children to swimming which will lead to problems. He instructed district officials to take all measures of warning boards at the checkdam and other places.

The Minister hoped that the officials got into field level to avoid such incidents by taking all measures and action. (Maxim News)
